Through the procedure outlined here below, you will be able to obtain Green Card (Adjust Status) for your Husband/Wife and their children under 21 if they entered the U.S. legally or under K1/K2 Visas only if they currently reside in the United States.   If your relative(s) is/are residing outside the U.S., click here.

Affidavit of Support
I-864, I-864A
Each adjustment of status package must be accompanied by an Affidavit of Support Form I-864 (I-864A) signed by the U.S. Citizen or resident sponsor**

The sponsor must meet current Poverty Line Guidelines in order to be eligible to vouch for his/her alien relatives/friends.

Sponsor’s Documentation
(copies, the originals must be available at the time of your interview)

The sponsor must submit all of the following:

  • Income tax returns for the last 3 (three) years;
  • Bank statements for the last 3 (three) months;
  • Proof of income for the last 3 (three) months.  
  • If applicable, submit other evidence of financial stability: real estate appraisals, savings’ account statements, etc.
If your sponsor is someone other than your spouse, submit copies of documentation proving status of this person in the United States.  

The sponsor must submit all of the following:

  • Proof of income for the last 3 (three) months.  
  • If applicable, submit other evidence of financial
    stability: real estate appraisals, savings’ account statements, etc.

* Any documentation issued by U.S. authorities means any of the following: driver license, social security card,
employment authorization card, extensions to your current visas, and/or any change(s) of your nonimmigrant.
